As adults we have a hard enough time dealing with Japan’s summer heat. Imagine how little babies in diapers feel. All squishy, wet and uncomfortable, not to mention, the pain they are in when that nastiness turns into a rash.
A recent discussion amongst KA mums about great Diaper Rash Creams came up with two popular choices. Many mums like the Japanese product called Polibaby, however, KA mum, Thea H, did mention that the product was only to be applied twice daily and in some severe diaper rash cases, this would not be enough to keep baby comfortable. Polibaby is available over the counter at Japanese Drug Stores.
Another highly recommended product was a brand called Weleda and purchased from iHerb. I’ll make a special note here that iHerb has a lovely little travel kit of Weleda baby products, including the diaper cream and if my boys were little, I’d have that in my shopping cart right now.
Many other great ideas came forth including home remedies and visits to the local pediatrician. Ultimately it will be your baby’s bottom that chooses which brand it likes best. Bottoms Up and Good Luck.
