This craft seamlessly weaves nature, creativity and imagination together. Children need just the smallest encouragement and they are off playing in a magical world.
Construction paper, rubber bands, glue, scissors, tape and leaves
1. Collect fallen leaves, looking for a variety of colors, sizes and shapes.
2. Cut strips of construction paper approximately 50cm X 5cm for the crown.
3. Measure crown around child’s head. Fold back each side of crown, leaving a few cm. between strips of paper. Lie the long piece of paper on table, folded side down.
4. Glue on leaves.
5. Turn crown over and place rubber band in the fold and tape closed. Repeat on other side to close the crown.
You can use one or two rubber bands. If you want to use two rubber bands, lie them over one another and pull the inner loop out simultaneously (photo only show one side, because, well, I am taking the picture, but pull the other loop through at the same time to form a knot).
